Whilst FBI continues to grow its' core business of identifying and sourcing talent for brands, many companies now identify their own freelance/contractor talent but face internal onboarding delays, procurement hurdles or complex contractor compliance requirements. 


FBI’s Payroll Services' offering removes these challenges and we are now engaged as Payroll Partners for many globally respected brands.


Critically, from 1 July 2026, the introduction of the Australian Government’s Payday Super reform will also change the way employers manage superannuation payments. Under this reform, employers must pay Superannuation Guarantee contributions at the same time as salary and wages, rather than quarterly. For many businesses, this now introduces additional operational complexity. 


If this applies to you, FBI can also act as your Payroll Partner allowing your business to engage freelance/contractor talent quickly and compliantly without the administrative burden of onboarding, payroll processing and superannuation compliance.

Under this model:

  • You select and manage the freelancer
  • FBI engages the individual through our payroll system
  • We manage PAYG withholding, superannuation, workers compensation and payroll tax
  • We process weekly payroll and ensure superannuation compliance
  • We provide transparent invoicing via our internal timesheet system

This approach is particularly useful where:

  • Contractor onboarding processes are slow or complex
  • Headcount approvals are tightly controlled
  • Internal payroll systems are not designed for short-term freelance engagements
  • There is a preference to externalise administrative responsibility while retaining operational control
  • Businesses wish to reduce compliance risk associated with evolving payroll and superannuation requirements
